Village Townhouse Sussex

A mews-inspired new build in need of customisation and characterisation, we thoughtfully reimagined this four bedroom family  home throughout, injecting personality with a relaxed balance of contemporary and traditional furnishings.  To add a sense of personal history, we enlisted the clients’ existing treasures from around the world, then added an integral focal point in the living area with bespoke joinery for display space, AV equipment, and much-needed storage.  We layered an eclectic mix of new and old furniture, comfortable seating, lighting, nuanced colour, fresh paint, and a subtle mix of textures in fabrics and rugs.

The bathrooms were renovated to get rid of the bland, we enlivened and organised the youngest child’s bedroom with graphic wallpaper and IKEA furniture, personalised two teen bedrooms, created interest in the stairways with glossy wall paneling, and created a sanctuary in the primary bedroom and ensuite with warm timbre floors, organic linen window treatments, and luxurious nickel and marble finishes.

The result is a home that feels authentic, nuanced, and comfortable with a newly-defined sense of place.
